The fleet is used for a key regatta's, in partnership with the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron:

  • Auckland Regatta -Pacific Keelboat Championships

  • Open National Keelboat Championships

  • Women's National Keelboat Championships

  • Masters National Keelboat Championships

 

1. Auckland Regatta

This Regatta is run jointly by the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron and Bucklands Beach Yacht Club. The MRX Fleet Division is known as the Pacific Keelboat Championships and is run over 4 consecutive days, with a mix of Windward-Leeward and Harbour racing.

This regatta regularly has overseas entries

2. Women's National Keelboat Championships

The Women’s National Keelboat Championships are going from strength to strength.

2019 saw an extra two crews enter, bringing the entry list up to 13 crews in total. 

The 2020 regatta promises to be an exciting event. With a 3 day format, allowing up to 20 crews from around New Zealand to compete.

The event is scheduled for 27th, 28th and 29th of March 2020. Entry is managed in partnership with the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron.

2. Women's National Keelboat Championships

 

4. Open National Keelboat Championships

The pinnacle of NZ Keelboat racing, this year crews have been invited from all the Yachting NZ regions plus a number of class championships. It will be a 3-day regatta with up to 4 windward races per day. 

Entry is managed in partnership with the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron.

3. Master"s National Keelboat Championships

The first two Masters National Keelboat Championships were a great success, hosted in February 2018 and April 2019. We are looking to build on this for the 2020 regatta, so if you fit the profile below, please contact us about entering a team.

  • All crew members must be a minimum of 45 years old

  • The skipper must be a minimum of 60 years old

 

The regatta is a mixture of harbour and windward racing and will be run over 3 days to enable plenty of time for on shore activities as well as close racing.
